We will baptize anyone who has not been previously baptized with water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We do not require anyone to attend any classes as a condition of baptism, but at least one meeting between the baptismal candidate and the pastor is advisable to go over what will happen at the service. For further information on baptism, click here.
Those seeking confirmation are required to be regular attenders at Sunday Mass and serve the church in some capacity such as serving at the altar, preparing the church before Mass and/or cleaning up afterward, hosting coffee hour, singing in the choir, chanting readings, serving as an usher, taking photographs, promoting the church to the outside world, serving as a foreign language translator, or leading Bible study. The Pastor provides individual instruction to candidates for Confirmation with the Saint Cecilia Catechism. The suggested donation for a confirmation is $150 (except for choir members, who are exempt), but we will not turn anyone away for lack of ability to pay. Our Bishop, the Most Armando Levya (or another bishop approved by him), visits the parish as needed for confirmation. Confirmations are always done at Sunday Sung Mass.
Young ladies attaining 15 years of age are invited to celebrate their Quinceanera at our church. The suggested donation to the church for a Quinceanera is $400. Music is customary at a Quinceanera. The musician fees must be paid in cash in advance. If a Cantor and Pianist are desired, the fee is $250. If the family desires a full choir, the fee is $750. Any instrumentalists are additional.
Holy Orders for the priesthood and perpetual diaconate are open to all confirmed adults at least 18 years of age, actively involved in the church, with a genuine call to ministry, regardless of gender, marital status, sexual orientation, age, race, national origin, or any other immutable characteristic.
We invite clergy validly ordained in the Apostolic Succession in an Old Catholic, Anglican, Eastern Orthodox, or Roman jurisdiction to apply for incardination.
One or more discernment meetings with the pastor is the first step, followed by referral to Bishop Armando for the filing of an Application and formal interview. Readiness and eligibility for ordination/incardination are at the sole discretion of the bishop.
We marry any opposite or same-sex couple with a valid marriage license. Please contact the pastor to set a date. Except where there are exigent circumstances, an engaged couple must meet with the pastor 4-6 weeks before the wedding to plan the service. The suggested donation for a marriage ceremony is $400, but we will not turn anyone away for a ceremony in the church due to lack of ability to pay. If it is necessary for the priest to travel more than 35 miles from the church, reimbursement at $1 per mile over 35 miles plus out-of-pocket expenses is due. If the family desires music, the fee is $250 for a Cantor plus Pianist. If the family desires a full choir, the fee is $750. Any instrumentalists are additional. Musician fees are payable cash in advance before the service.
Please contact the church immediately if someone dies to make arrangements for the use of the church for a vigil and a Mass of Christian Burial. The suggested donation for a funeral is $150, but we will not turn anyone away for lack of ability to pay. Funerals are normally conducted at the Church but can be at another location, such as a funeral home if desired. If the family wants music, the fee is $250 for a Cantor plus Pianist. If the family desires a full choir, the fee is $750. Any instrumentalists are additional. Musician fees are payable cash in advance before the service.
